Organized for Life- Bringing the Magic and Spirit of Christmas into a Home

Over the last year Organized for Life has had the pleasure of organizing and simplifying spaces so that others can truly embrace their homes and enjoy them from the moment they walk in the door. In addition to creating streamlined and clutter free homes, OFL has also incorporated elements of design into the spaces. Through furniture placement, color and size choices for organizational items as well as home staging services OFL has become a business that helps others achieve organization, design and simplicity. The slogan “Embrace your Space, Live Clutter Free” has truly become Organized for Life’s mission statement.

Christmas has always been one of my favorite times of the year, and being asked to decorate a home for the holidays was an absolute dream come true for me. Bringing the magic and spirit of Christmas into any home instantly adds a feeling of joy, love and reminds us of what the holidays are truly about. Below are photos of how everything came together. My goal was for others to feel the spirit of Christmas from the moment they walk in the door, and for the owners to fall in love with their home all over again.

Lighted garland with touches of poinsettias in red and white added just the right pop of color to the staircase.

The beautiful Christmas tree in the entrance was an extension of the staircase with touches of red, gold and green ornaments as well as gifts.

I incorporated a gold and green theme into the formal living area to compliment the colors of the already beautiful furniture and decor. From the reindeer to the candle sconces the mantle really came to life.

The dining room is an extension of the formal living area so the gold and green tones flowed into this space. I was sure to create simplicity within the space but also make it feel inviting and warm.
Glowing lights, golden pine cones and tree trimmings added just the right touch of Christmas magic to the dining area.
I love these candle holders because of the vintage look and beautiful brushed gold and silver touches. Mixing some old and new pieces when decorating a space always adds the unexpected.
These vases reminded me so much of snow! I found the perfect place for them just by the window. The white birch trees in the picture window behind this table tied it all in.

Green tree
This tree was perfect for this space with its bright colors as well as size. I placed it in the corner of the room to be sure it made it’s own statement.

From the moment you walk up the front steps I wanted an unexpected element. Fresh cut birch, tree trimmings and pines cones were placed in these planters to tie in the outdoors. I also added white lights for a stunning nighttime glow.
May your homes be filled with love, light and the joys of the season this Christmas. Happy holidays and blessings for the New Year!
